Make Your Heavy Whipping Cream.

Prepare the Perfect Whipped Cream with these simple recommendations! Only three ingredients and five minutes are required to make the BEST whipped cream that maintains its shape.

Time

  • Preparation time: 5 minutes
  • total time: 5 minutes
  • Chilling Bowl: 15 minutes
  • Servings: 16 (2-cup) servings

Equipment

  • Hand Mixer
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of chilled heavy cream whippings
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, powdered sugar, honey, or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or other extracts or flavorings.

How To Make Your Heavy Whipping Cream?

  • Start with cold heavy cream. The more complex the cream, the more quickly and successfully you can whip it. Additionally, cold cream produces the finest whipped cream! Cream that is slightly warm or at ambient temperature is not whipped cream. If you’re ambitious, chill the mixing basin and whisk ingredients in the refrigerator or freezer for 30 or 15 minutes.
  • Whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla together on medium-high speed. This speed is ideal for whipping cream, which will incorporate air moderately. High speed can easily overwhip cream, while low rate can easily under-whip it.
  • Don’t walk away! It only takes a couple of minutes to whip cream, but only a few seconds separate delicate whipped cream from overmixed whipped cream. Cream that has been overmixed is curdled and gritty. Softly whipped cream, the perfect dessert, is fluffy and silky. Keep an eye on your mixer to determine when it is ready.
  • Look for medium peaks. What are the medium mountains of whipped cream? When you remove the beaters or whisk from the basin, there should be a semi-firm peak on them. The rise will sag slightly but not entirely lose its form. It will not be too malleable and liquid-like, nor will it be too dense and curdled. Feel free to periodically stop the mixer and examine the consistency of the whipped cream.

Tips Of Make Your Heavy Whipping Cream

1. Make Ahead Instructions: Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours, securely covered and chilled. Occasionally, freezing prepared whipped cream causes it to lose its creamy texture, but it does work.

2. Double Batch: This recipe can be readily multiplied by two or three. When whipped, the quantity of heavy cream you use doubles in volume. Set up 1 cup of heavy cream to make 2 cups of whipped cream.

3. Sugar: Some producers insist on using granulated sugar in whipped cream, while others insist on using confectioners’ (powdered/icing) sugar. You may also utilize brown sugar. If you’re only using a few Tablespoons of sugar, as stated in the recipe, it doesn’t make much of a difference. In larger quantities, however, the granules of granulated sugar may become detectable, so confectioners’ sugar is preferable.

How To Store Make Your Heavy Whipping Cream?

Stabilized Whipped Cream: For stable whipped cream that will last longer in the refrigerator, combine 1/4 tsp of cream of soda with the fresh whipping cream and powdered sugar.

How To Freeze Whipped Cream?

Place large spoonfuls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and flash freeze. Once the whipped cream has been frozen, you can place it in containers that are suitable for the freezer and frozen. When ready for use, defrost for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Whipped Cream Flavor Variations

  • Honey: Instead of sugar, use honey
  • Maple: Substitute maple syrup for the sugar.
  • Cinnamon: Add 1/2 teaspoon of granulated cinnamon to the recipe.
  • Coconut: Combine a quarter-teaspoon of vanilla extract with a quarter-teaspoon of coconut extract.
  • Chocolate Whipped Cream: Whisk together three tablespoons of cocoa powder and sugar, then continue with the recipe as written.
  • Strawberry Cream:
  1. Prepare the above recipe until gentle peaks form.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of chilled strawberry preserves or puree and continue beating until medium peaks form.
  3. If not using immediately, keep refrigerated and covered.

How To Recover Over-Mixed Whipped Cream?

Cream that has been overmixed will curdle and become grainy. Slowly incorporate in fresh, liquid, heavy whipping cream, one tablespoon at a time, with a rubber spatula, until the whipped cream is smooth.
